Jon Sattazahn, Enrolled Agent
Jon has been preparing taxes professionally since 2000. He received his tax training while serving in the United States Army. He volunteered to prepare tax returns for soldiers and their families. After leaving the army, Jon worked at the largest tax office in the state of Tennessee while attending college. While there he had the opportunity to work with many different people in all types of situations. Having the privilege of working alongside of the general manager, Jon was able to increase his knowledge and experience in the tax business and earned several awards including the Tax Preparer of the Year Award. Many of his clients from previous years would personally request him year after year. He eventually worked his way up to become the assistant manager and was offered a district manager position after graduation from college. Instead of taking the position Jon choose to move back home to Pennsylvania where he grew up.
Jon started Jon’s Tax Service in 2008 because doing taxes and helping business owners was something that he enjoyed. He wanted his business to have an emphasis on customer service. In 2019 Jon became an enrolled agent. Enrolled agents, like attorneys and certified public accountants (CPAs), have unlimited practice rights. This means they are unrestricted as to which taxpayers they can represent, what types of tax matters they can handle, and which IRS offices they can represent clients before. When Jon is not working he enjoys spending time with his family, especially playing with his twin daughters.
